Bob has been an amateur astronomer since 1951 when he purchased his first small telescope with paper route money at age 10. He has coauthored the two volume set of The Night Sky Observer's Guide published by Willmann-Bell, Inc. in 1998. A third volume covering the southern hemisphere skies will soon be published in 2008.
	Bob has been painting nearly as long as he has been observing the night sky. He does acrylic paintings, pen and ink, and pencil drawings specializing in southwest subjects such as cowboy, horses, birds and wildlife. He also paints birds and animals on woodcuts as well as canvas. Many of his drawings are offered as notecards.
